A breit, mit Kopfriegel BMC V 243: "109R. [P. 1], square text type on rather large body. Single Qu, A with bar across top, wide C, narrow E, F, S, shanks of M sloping, round-looped P; a, e with shallow loops, h with round tail level with line, dot of i to right of letter, rather narrow s, ç used for z, ę for æ and œ; medium single sloping hyphen; ꝝ does not occur in the books of 1476. In German text rounded d and tailed z are substituted for the Latin forms, v, w, oͤ and uͤ are added; this state of the type was styled 1B by Proctor. In use in 1476-78, passed on to Renner (109RB. [P. 5]) in the course of the latter year." |
