Type 1:87G bei Drucker von Montaldo, Carmina (H 11555) (Rom?, Neapel?, Offizin 25) BMC VI 861: "87 G. [P. 5], square clear text type, with plain capitals, which appear to be mostly those of 84 G. [P. 1] (Type 1:84G the lower case is, however, very much larger and bolder. C (rounded, with inner vertical) and E (large, with nearly horizontal base) are distinctive, but the earlier C still occurs here and there. Rounded h, i with light stroke. No hyphen, tall ⁌. Used also by Hohenstein (87 G. [P. 2]) (Type 2:87G bei Jodokus Hohenstein (Neapel, Offizin 5)) and, with differences, by Del Tuppo (85 G. [Haebler 3]) (Type 3:85G bei Francesco del Tuppo (Neapel, Offizin 1*)), by Ungut and Polonus (Seville) (type 1 [P.] on a body of 82 mm.) (Type 1:82G bei Meinhard Ungut und Stanislaus Polonus (Sevilla, Offizin 4)), and by Besicken (Rome) (87 G. [P. 7]) (Type 7:87G bei Johann Besicken (Rom, Offizin 38)). In use in 1478, 1483 and 1484; in the Dominican Missal, 1483 (IB. 29423 = M24156) it ranges with 94 G. [P. 6] (Type 6:94G) and has dotted i."
