[P. 1*], cursive text type, with numerous ligatures and contractions, the short letters cast at the foot of the face (so as to give a long shoulder for accented sorts) and the low strokes kerned on to the line below, as is shown by an accidentally printed space on l8b of the Lascaris, March, 1495 (IA. 24383) (= M17107), the only book in which this state of the type is found.
