BMC I 76: "120 [P. 1], large text type, 120 being the maximum measurement for twenty lines and 117 the minimum. Mr. Proctor classified books in this type in six sections, according to the measurement of twenty lines being 118,120, or 119, according to the presence or absence in the 118 and 120 groups of a contraction for et, and according to the size (large folios being treated separately) of the books in the 118 group with uncontracted et. Remeasurements and further examination have not confirmed this classification. The books are here arranged in a sequence, according to the presence or absence of three characters, viz. the contraction for et, tied de, and comma-strokes, regard being had also to other evidence. This 120 type is that used in six lines of the Vita Christi of Ludolphus, dated 1474 (see IC. 804 = M19226), in combination with Eggestein's 99B [P. 4] (Type 4:99G bei Heinrich Eggestein (Straßburg, Offizin 3)). Hence the books in it have been attributed to Eggestein, but with little probability. On the other hand, if (as Mr. Proctor suggested) Eggestein sold his 99B type to the Carthusians outside Strassburg, the Printer of 'Henricus Ariminensis' may either have worked for the Carthusians or have lent them some of his 120 type. In or before 1478 this type, without the contracted et, is found in books attributed to Michael Greyff, who worked at Reutlingen in 1478 or 1479 and later (vgl. Type 2:120G bei Michael Greyff (Reutlingen, Offizin 1/3)). It is possible that Greyff may have used the 120 type at Strassburg before he is found at Reutlingen."
