1:115R	ma10149	 Qu\|-H (Antiqua)	1470-1474	Die Kegelhöhe variiert zwischen 113 und 115mm; diese Abweichungen sind bei Haebler und im GW nicht als verschiedene Zustände differenziert, während der ab 1475 belegte Zustand mit nur 111mm als Type 1*:111R separat aufgenommen wurde BMC V 164: "115 R. [P. 1], large text type. Single Qu; medium capitals, rather broad H; the shanks of N are not quite vertical, S is irregularly drawn. Upright of d extends slightly below the line, e with sloping loop-line, straight-shanked h, dot of i to right of letter, narrow s, straight-tailed y; contraction mark in ā, ē, &c., to right of centre of letter, single sloping hyphen, in early books often apparently projecting beyond the alinement of the page. After a short time of use the type appears more closely packed laterally, the serif of t becoming shorter and c and e narrower; this result is probably unintentional. Up to the end of 1474 the measurement of 20 lines varies from over 115 to just under 113 mm; in and after 1475 it is reduced to 111-12 mm. These two states were distinguished as 1A and 1B by Proctor; the later and still shorter state (1C) mentioned by him is not warranted by the evidence. 2:84G	ma01185	 M49 (Rotunda)	1474-1480	Vgl. reduzierte Type 6:75G (ab 1476) Einziger Nachweis nach 1475 ist im gedruckten GW GW05101 (Breviarum Romanum 1478, dort nur Bl. 1b). Lt. BMC ist dort aber auch die die Type auf reduziertem Kegel von 75mm verwendet (vgl. BMC V 179). Nach Proctor und BMC ist der Zustand auf 75mm "cut down", wahrscheinlicher ist aber ein Neuguss auf kleinerem Kegel. Möglicherweise wurde die Type 1476 für den Druck der Bibel (GW04222) durch die Version auf kleinerem Kegel ersetzt. In M46276 (unfirmiert, datiert 1480) erscheint die Type wieder im ursprünglichen Maß von 84 mm. Lt. BMC V 584 wurde dieser Druck nicht von Jenson gedruckt, sondern von einem unbekannten Drucker, der nach Jensons Tod dessen Druckmaterial übernahm. BMC V 165: "84 G. [P. 2], text type, with plain capitals. Round and angular c; h with the tail level with line, stroked i; single sloping hyphen, intermittently employed. Capitals from 106 G. [P. 3] (Type 3:106G) occasionally admixed. In use in 1474, 1475, cut down to 75 mm. in 1476, in which state it was called type 6 by Proctor. See below under 84 (75) G (Type 6:75G)."	GfT 316

[P. 5], medium text type, used mostly for the commentaries in law-books, in the same style as 84 G [P. 2] (Type 2:84G), but with more ornate capitals. Angular and rounded C; crossed D, H, M, N, O, P, Q, V; H, N, P, R with double upright. The normal M is broad, with shoulder of left half double, but M and other capitals of 93GB. [P. 8] (Type 8:93G) are found admixed. The type does not appear to have been supplied with hyphens until 1479. In use in and after 1476.
6:75G	ma10152	 M49 (Rotunda)	1476-1480	Type 2:84G auf reduziertem Kegel Lt. Proctor und BMC "cut down", wahrscheinlicher ist jedoch ein Neuguss auf kleinerem Kegel BMC V 166: "84 (75) G. [P. 7], 'a moderately large Gothic, used for head-lines, &c.' (Proctor). The capitals, notably N, have more ornament than is usual with Jenson's types. The measurement is approximate.
